I went to Deep Creek Lake recently, and it was a wonderful trip filled with good memories and discoveries.
We saw bears, hiked, went to a brewery and explored the world around us. It was very peaceful and a much needed break.
Here is a mini vlog that I shot, capturing the highlights of the trip:
Every week, I have been taking a few days off of social media and I’m not going to lie, it’s been great. I feel like I have more time to focus on my creative projects, self-reflect, spend more face time with family/friends and live in the moment rather than scrolling and getting unnecessarily restless.
I’m all about being positive and feeling good these days, and in doing so, I’m recognizing the behaviors that contribute to that. I feel that less screen time is so important to be more in tune with yourself and surroundings. I’m making a conscious effort to spend less time on my phone and trying to do the things I used to love doing such as reading and writing.
So here’s to less screen time and enjoying the beauty around me!
