Burgeon

This photoshoot was very special to me, as my best friend A was the photographer. He has a crazy passion for photography (as do I!). Once he got his hands on a professional camera, there were no bounds to his creativity.

The photoshoot was planned on a whim.

The day was cold and chilly. But that did not deter us from taking advantage of the aesthetically sober undertones that would weave through the images. The more shots A took, the more we tried different poses and played with the mood.

A’s direction in the photoshoot was heavily inspired by the European street style and the culture he had tasted when he visited there.

With wet hair, a duffel bag full of clothes and makeup ready to go, I was only eager to tell a story through the photographs. We parsed through the bag and decided which outfits would be striking with the somber weather.

This collection of photographs is just one part of the photoshoot.

The setting for this particular collection was an elegant outdoor room, which called for a more formal attire.

Gray, silver, white, metallic colors; chandeliers; arch windows; abandoned furniture; and a pristine wind blew through this scenery and charged it with powerful sophistication and distinguished moments.

I have curated these photographs with a focus on positivity, good thoughts and mindful habits. Some are the same photos but with different filters as I wanted to try different vibes.

This collection commemorates my desired resolutions for the year – to be at peace, to be positive and effortless, to love and accept all including myself and to be creatively fearless in every aspect of life.

My thoughts will weave through these images, and I hope that you will be inspired as well.

Your mind is like a tree. You must nurture and care for it every day, every second. Water it with infinite love, quintessential positivity, a nimiety of knowledge and beautiful thoughts so the branches of your brain grow wonderfully far. The more you care for it and the more beautiful you make it (especially during challenging situations), the better you steel your mind for greater things. The best part is to watch the flowers of your mind blossom and connect with more illustrious trees.

Don’t worry about what others think. Free yourself from those bonds and allow yourself to be the person you dare to be. When you worry about others’ thoughts and opinions about you, you set the standard for yourself based on their thinking. Allow the standard for yourself to derive from you and your optimism for YOUR future. People will come and go in your life. But at the end of every day…. it’s always you whom you can count on.

Mediate. Breathe deeply. Bring peace to your mind to be peaceful with yourself, with your life and with what life throws at you. Allow that peace to enter your body and rest, so you can be calm and content with the most important thing – you.

Challenge yourself to find something new every day. You would be surprised at what you may find.
